This week, we are studying the GOLD RUSH! The students will be reviewing key terms from the Gold Rush. We are reading chapter 12 in the Social Studies book. I will also be showing the students 2 videos about the Gold Rush. At the end of the unit, the students will relive the 1840's and pan for gold! It will be a fun activity for the students. If there are any parents that would like to join us, please feel free!

Parent volunteers: The students love to see their parents volunteering in the classroom. It is also a huge help for me too. Please see the district's website ( www.cvsd.edu) for information on volunteering in the classroom. Please make sure to sign in at the office before you start, thanks!

Classroom behaviors: We have one general rule when it comes to behavior in our classroom. It is important for the students to follow this motto. We repeat it every morning during the morning message. Students are expected to abide by this motto. Parent volunteers must also abide by this motto. Together, we will create a happy place for learning and fun!
